Import panel provides new features in 3.3.4 version. This functionality is available only in premium version.

You can import an iCalendar file as well from an url as from your PC. Here are the new features.

 

Here is the new panel :

iCalendar

  1. Selection of import type : by URL or by file
  2. In any case, you have to select a calandar to link your events. 
  3. 3 possibilities are available for categories  : create a catageory for every category of your iCalendar file, link all events to an existing category or a new one you have defined. The default value is the creation of as many categories as in iCalendar in order to fit the content of your file.
  4. Three possibilities for venues are available: create a venue for every venue in your iCalendar file, link all events to an existing venue or a new one you have defined. The default value is the creation of as many venues as in iCalendar in order to fit the content of your file.
    If your file include geolocalization data (latitude, longitude), they will be got back at the creation of every venues.
  5. If you select the import by URL, fulfill the l'URL containing the data to import. If you select the import by file, select the file.
  6. In order to help you, you can import the holidays date provided by Enrico Service.
  7. In the same way, you can import the main events of the American history.

The loading by iCalendar made we propose you the macth dates of french league 1 and 2  and the 2016 ephemeris.

twitter

Twitter cards perform the integration of specific meta tagspermettent. When a visitor of your website twets one of your webpages containing an AllEvents event, this will be highlighted in the user timeline with events elements (and so to do better than the usual 140 characters with link). Since Allevents 3.3.4 version, twittercard plugin can complete your event webpages with enriched data that will be displayed by Twitter.

 

Got back data are:

  • twitter:title - Event title
  • twitter:card - Kind of card : Summary (summary card). The default card  includes a title, a description, ua thumbnail and the link of the twitte to your Twitter account.
  • twitter:image - The related picture to your event (poster, thumbnail, picture in your description,...)
  • twitter:site - Website name, 
  • twitter:description - Event  description

 All these parameters are customizable in plugin parameters. Default values are possible.

For sure, you have to define the ID of your twitter account in order that the event card is got back in the webuser twitte.
