Does AllEvents allow an override ?

The override allows to substitue a file by another one in an automated way in Joomla. This allows to complete an AllEvents display for example.

This mini tutorial needs a medium knowledge of Joomla (developer).

How to proceed?

You only have to add a file in your template while following the folder hierarchy.

For example, we use a so-called "protostar" template that is used for the frontend and not the administration.

The themes of your website are located in the templates folder starting from the root (usually www in FTP).

Where to locate my files?

The override pages are located in the templates/protostar/html folder.

In our example, we are going to override the event event. This page is located in the components/com_allevents/views/event/tmpl folder.

You just have to copy the files of the components/com_allevents/views/event/tmpl folder to the templates/protostar/html/com_allevents/event one.

The elements that are got back from the folder tree are in blue and grey.

You just create your first override.
